Joe Sorace, of Warminster, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 84 years old.
Joe was born in Polistena, Reggio Calabria, Italy. His parents immigrated to America when he was 18 months old and settled in Huntingdon Valley. He spent his childhood on his parent's farm on Pine Road along with his four brothers. Joe also lived throughout the years in Huntingdon Valley, Southampton and Jaimson before moving to Warminster.

Joe Sorace, of Warminster, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 84 years old.
Joe was born in Polistena, Reggio Calabria, Italy. His parents immigrated to America when he was 18 months old and settled in Huntingdon Valley. He spent his childhood on his parent's farm on Pine Road along with his four brothers. Joe also lived throughout the years in Huntingdon Valley, Southampton and Jaimson before moving to Warminster.
Joe was mentored by the late, Mr. Fred Schultz, a former Board of Trustees member, that helped Joe get accepted into the prestigious Williamson Trade School in Media, PA. He gratuated with a degree as a Machinist and Tool and Die maker. Joe entered the Army Corps of Engineers after the Korean War. Once he returned he attended Spring Garden Institute and earned a degree in Engineering. Throughout his career, Joe worked as a Salesman for various companies that specialized in this equipment, such as, Wrapp Machinery Company in Fort Washington, PA, York Penn Machinery in York, PA and Lance Machinery in York, PA.
After Joe retired, he began working in the parts department at Audi of Willow Grove. He has worked there for the last eight years and enjoyed his time at the dealership.
In his free time, Joe loved to be outside. He enjoyed caring for his yard, mowing the lawn and planting flowers. He took pride in his home and always had the nicest yard on the block.

Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Adeline Sorace on February 1, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Beth Hummel of Quakertown, his two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Meghan Hummel, and his four brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Anne of Ivyland, the late Aurelio "Sonny" and Bonnie of Mt. Joy, PA, Dominic "Mickey" and Gail of Natrona Heights, PA, Roland and Rosalie of Blue Bell, PA
Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 10am-11am on Tuesday, 5-23-17 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, PA. Mass will be celebrated at 11am, followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park, County Line Road, Feasterville, PA. In lieu of flowers, Joe's family has requested memorial donations be made to his church, St. Robert Bellarmine.
